James is an adventurous, lively, fun loving and affectionate boy. He is so enthusiastic in everything he does. We have never seen this dog unhappy!
He loves people, he loves other dogs, loves his walks, rides in the car, splashing in water....the list goes on.
James had the good fortune to be fostered for awhile and his carers liked him so much they wanted to adopt him. Sadly their resident dog had other ideas so James had to come back. They reported that as long as he received sufficient exercise and stimulation he was no problem. He slept downstairs on his own without a peep. Proved to be house trained. And quickly learnt with them that sitting got you things whereas jumping up didn't! In short He settled well. He still tries the jumping up with new people though.
James is looking for a home with people who can provide the exercise and stimulation he needs. And also continue his training as he will need a lot of training, time and patience. He is bright and learns quickly with people who have an understanding of dog training (as demonstrated by his fosterers).
In essence he is like a 3 or 4 month old puppy but in an adult dogs body!
While in foster James went on many walks and saw lots of things. He was not fazed by anything inc traffic, cows, joggers, cyclists. He was even ok with the cats.
With just a bit of training James would make an excellent companion. He has an amazing temperament and is pretty bombproof. He just needs someone to show him the way.
Due to his bounciness currently we advise any children be teens. Also looking for a semi rural or rural home, with no other dogs. So new owner can focus on him and his training.
Vaccinated, wormed, micro chipped and vet checked.
