Matt is a loving, gentle and biddable boy. He really is one of those desperate to please types. He's over the moon just to hear you say 'good boy'. He's been good with all the dogs he has mixed with but he's not particularly interested in them apart from saying a quick hello. He is definitely a people person. His favourite thing is to just be hanging out with you around the kennels, he's really no bother. Not a manic collie type. We think he may have been in a home as he is very clean in his kennel, preferring to do all his business on walks or in the paddock. He also is not coping with kennel life very well at all and finds the environment quite stressful. Matt is not a nervous dog, nor does he behave like a dog that has had harsh treatment. He knows all about how to get round people and how best to get a good fuss. He sits and leans into you hoping you'll notice him. He never jumps up at you. What a good boy. Recently Matt has become troubled by cars passing close to him on the lane (they do pass very close as the lane is narrow in places and some people drive way too fast!). We have been working on this and Matt has improved greatly. He just can't have them whizzing past close by. For this reason we won't be re homing him in high traffic areas. Matt walks happily in a head collar which is a huge help. We'd love to find Matt his special person. He strikes us as the sort to make a very loyal companion and best friend.
Advised ok with cats but looking for a home with older children.
Vaccinated, wormed, micro chipped and vet checked.
